Bauhaus style table lamp Marcel Breuer design New
A handcrafted brass and granite lamp in the style of Marcel Breuer circa 1930. Traditional workshop methods of rolling and soldering of the brass sheet lampshade, with milled, drilled and tapped solid brass bars, no corners cut with the quality of the materials used here. The satin brass finish is achieved in the polishing shop with mildly abrasive polishing wheels, an art in itself. The polished black granite block has been detailed with a pencil edge finish. A matt lacquer hand applied coating seals and protects the brass from oxidation and maintains the finish permanently. All in all a very high quality hand made lamp and not a cheapened imitation. Please don't let the price make you think that inferior materials must have been used because they haven't. Switch is on the cable near to the lamp which is 1.6m long and takes a standard large screw type bulb (E27) and has a standard 3 pin UK plug. Size is 17.5cm wide x 23cm long x 40cm high and weighs 3.3 kg.
